Why Accufab makes The World's Best Throttle Bodies.
Accufab throttle bodies are machined on CNC machines from 6061-T6 aluminum billet to extremely close tolerances. They are designed and tested using a SuperFlow SF-1020 air flow bench. The throttle shafts are precision ground from stainless steel. The blades are stamped to our own high quality standards from plate brass. Even the bolts that hold the blades on the shafts are made to our exact and rigid specifications.
Every piece is manufactured in-house in or own facility, on our American made CNC machines, and assembled by our own technicians. About the only components not made in-house are the custom designed bearings on the ends of the shafts. These are sealed bearings, not the cheaper ones often found on competitors products, the kind that “whistle” while the engine is running due to air seepage.
Each unit is bench ground and hand polished to a high luster, and hand assembled, and then meticulously calibrated. No robotics. They are truly a work of art.
All of our throttle bodies are made as if they will be going on a racing car, even if the part is designed for a street driven car. We do not offer a lesser product for street use, and a sturdier one for racing. All are designed and made as if they were going in an all-out race car.
If our competitors throttle bodies are sometimes cheaper, what does that tell you about their quality? What does that tell you about the materials they use? Are the bodies machined out of aircraft quality billet aluminum or are they cast out of “pot metal” to save a few bucks? How much testing do they do? What kind of technical support can they give? What kind of quality control do they have? Do they even manufacture and assemble the products here in America? In short, where do they cut corners in order to save a few dollars?
You get what you pay for, and you pay for what you get.
