IMPORTANT: Due to the customization required to build your headers, orders must be placed ONLY by telephone with George Klass. Please call George at 909-930-1751 Monday though Thursday 7:30 am - 3:30 pm PST.
NOTE: 1979 and 1980 straight 6-cylinder K-members will need to be exchanged for a K-member from a V-8, V-6 or 4-cylinder chassis.
Accufab Big Tube Competition headers feature one-piece, blanchard ground flanges, free flowing collectors and to the extent possible, equal length primaries. Also, on cylinder heads that have optional or "spread" exhaust bolt patterns, this pattern can be utilized on our custom flanges if the customer wishes at no increase in cost.
The headers are designed to fit a 1979 through 1995 Mustang (or FOX chassis) using the stock OEM front K-member and OEM engine mounts or exact duplicate aftermarket pieces. The headers will also fit vehicles with most aftermarket tubular K-members and aftermarket engine mounts provided that the engine remains in the stock, OEM location. In some cases, the same headers may fit the 1996 and later Mustang chassis and various years and models of the 2WD Ford F-150 pick-up truck.
Accufab has several header designs for the 1965 through 1973 Mustang chassis. Early Mustang headers are designed around the use of OEM Ford engine mounts only. There is no guarantee of fitment when aftermarket engine mounts are used. 1964 1/2 and 1965 Mustangs require 1966 OEM Ford engine mounts only. Headers will not fit on early Mustangs with 351W engines with manual transmissions using the Ford "Z-Bar" clutch linkage.
Not Included: Header gaskets and header bolts are NOT included.
Note: Accufab Big Tube Competition headers are not compliant with emission requirements in California or other states with similar laws or regulations. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) prohibits the sale or use of parts that modify or defeat emissions systems in 1966 or newer vehicles.
