This 75mm Camaro LS1 throttle body is specifically designed as a direct bolt on for use on the 1998-2002 1/2 Camaro LS1.
Replace your Camaro LS1's restrictive stock throttle body with Accufab's top of the line 75mm Camaro LS1 throttle body unit and get your Camaro the air it's lacking.
Better Air Flow for More Power. This 75 mm upgrade will greatly improve your LS1's throttle response and horsepower. It's the perfect starting point for future modifications.
Exceptional Quality. Accufab's quality is second to none! This throttle body is CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and the exterior is polished to an eye-catching finish. The shafts are also CNC machined from stainless for durability and quality, with brass blades and the highest quality bushings, bearings and screws. Only the best components are used for unparalleled reliability and performance. Manufactured in the USA.
Note. There is some confusion with the 99 1/2 model year split and which Accufab throttle body should be used. The 99 1/2 early edition stock throttle body has a brown spring. The 99 1/2 late edition stock throttle body has a blue spring. The cable guide linkage also differs in size. When ordering, check and see what color the spring is on your stock throttle body.
Accessories Included: Each throttle body includes mounting screws only.
General Throttle Body Installation Instructions:
Replacing the original throttle body and installing an Accufab throttle body is considered a “bolt-on” modification. In most cases it is an “off with the old and on with the new” process.
In some cases, some minor modifications are required. If, for instance, the new throttle body is larger than the inlet hole in the intake manifold, some minor grinding or chamfering of the inlet hole may be required. On the 1996-1998 Cobra installations, the bridge between the dual-hole intake manifold must be ground or cut out so as to permit the installation of the larger single blade Accufab throttle body. It will be necessary to remove the upper intake manifold lid to accomplish this.
All of these tasks are relatively easy to do, however, if any part of a throttle body installation is thought of as being difficult, or if you are uncomfortable with doing it yourself, we recommend getting advice or consultation from a professional.
In general, here are some generic throttle body installation instructions:
1. Disconnect the ground cable from your battery.
2. Remove the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) from the original throttle body. If the original throttle body also has an Idle Air Control motor (IAC), remove that too.
3. Remove the original throttle body (typically, four bolts).
4. If the vehicle requires any modifications to the intake manifold, do that now.
5. When that is complete, install the new Accufab throttle body.
6. Then, re-install the IAC and TPS, reconnect the battery cable.
