Replace your 2003-2004 4.6L Mustang Cobra's restrictive stock twin blade throttle body with our top of the line single blade unit and get your engine the air it's lacking. Our engineers tested the stock inlet or elbow and noticed that it's design was too restrictive to accept the additional airflow our throttle body moves. Hence, we developed an aftermarket performance inlet which allows the air to flow on a straighter path directly into the intake, accounting for a major increase in performance.
Better Air Flow for More Power: The single blade throttle body and power inlet combination, when dyno tested, has shown an increase of 10 horsepower by 2000 RPM, all the way up to 25 horsepower improvement at 6400 RPM. This is rear wheel horsepower. Torque also improved dramatically across the complete power range. Furthermore, Accufab's throttle body by itself flows 1696 cfm compared to stock 1089 cfm.
Exceptional Quality: The shafts are also CNC machined from stainless for durability and quality, with brass blades and the highest quality bushings, bearings and screws. Accufab's quality is second to none! This throttle body is CNC machined from 6061-T6 billet aluminum and the exterior is polished to an eye-catching finish.
Application: This Accufab single blade throttle body and power inlet is specifically designed for use on the 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra.
Notes: If you have a KenneBell or Whipple supercharger with a mono-blade opening, you should order the throttle body only. We do not recommend trying to use an Accufab single blade throttle body with the stock inlet because there is no clearance for the single blade and the stock design has airflow restrictions.
The throttle body has an air passage slot machined within the wall and continuing to the backside of the part. This slot matches up to a machined slot on the inlet for idle air control purposes.
