Accufab's 4-Barrel Vent Tube Fuel Restrictors are designed to minimize or restrict raw fuel surge through the vent tubes without restricting the vent tube’s ability to vent.

Easily install Accufab’s billet aluminum vent tube fuel restrictors (VTFR), a simple and inexpensive ball-check valve. Each VTFR will minimize or restrict raw fuel surge through the vent tubes without restricting the vent tube’s ability to vent. Also, they do not impact or restrict power in any way.
Application. Accufab offers three different versions for 2 or 4 barrel carburetor applications. Each version functions the same with matching internal parts. However, the off-road version differs by having a hose barb to utilize a connecting tube between the vent tubes. The Marine version is slighly elongated in comparison.
The Drag version is anodized black and is intended for drag or dry lakes racing but does not have a hose barb. The Marine version is anodized blue and meets USCG requirements. The Off-Road version is anodized black and may be used for drag or dry lakes racing. Also, the off-road version has a hose barb to utilize a connecting tube between the vent tubes.

There are three basic versions of Accufab Vent Tube Fuel Restrictors (VTFR). Each function the same with matching internal parts.
The Drag version, anodized black, can be used on any application including drag and dry lakes racing.
The Off-Road version, anodized red, can be used on any application including drag and dry lakes racing. This version differs by having hose barb connectors on the top for racers that link the vent tubes together with a ¼” rubber hose.
The Marine version, anodized blue, can be used on any marine application. This version meets the United States Coast Guard (USCG) requirements. For example, instead of venting straight upward, the vent is downward at an angle, so any fuel that might dribble out will go right back into the carburetor, as required by the USCG.
Installation procedures are the same for all versions.
The VTFR's are designed to slip over any standard 5/16-inch vent tube, which are found on the vast majority of racing carburetors. The vent tube MUST be at least ½-inch tall, from the base to the bottom of the diagonal cut at the top. The vent tube may be taller but it cannot be shorter. If your vent tube is too short, you will need to acquire a longer vent tube from your carburetor manufacturer and follow their vent tube installation instructions.
The vent tube MUST have a straight cut on the top. If it has an angled or diagonal cut at the top, it must be cut off flush.Remove the carburetor and hold it upside down while making the cut to keep any metal dust from entering the float bowls. After cutting, make sure the top of the vent tube is smooth and has no ridge that may impede the installation of the VTFR.
Slide the VTFR over the vent tube, pushing it down as far as it will go, then, tighten using a 9/16-inch end wrench on the center section and another 9/16-inch end wrench on the bottom. Do not over tighten.
Over time, dust and other contaminants may affect the internal operation of the VTFR. Periodically remove and clean them in some type of carburetor cleaner.
