Better Air Flow for More Power. Independent dyno tests, performed at JDM Engineering in New Jersey, showed a 9hp advantage over stock with no other changes and an equal increase in torque. The reduction in back pressure alone will increase the life of the turbo. Additional benefits include increased fuel economy, lower EGT’s, increased airflow by 40% and a boost port for aftermarket gauges.
Lower engine heat, lower EGT temperatures and lower turbocharger backwash with an Accufab power elbow. This can also reduce expensive head gasket issues. If you haul heavy loads or pull oversized trailers, the power elbow will pay for itself by reducing wear on your engine. This is an easy bolt-on for any 6.0L Ford diesel pick-up truck.
In comparison, the stock elbow design is not airflow friendly with the sharp angle in which the air is expected to flow. In contrast, Accufab’s elbow curves the airflow path which indeed allows the air to move!
